Courts4Kids founder: Jim Boeheim and New York Knicks star: Carmelo Anthony has partnered with the City of Syracuse Department of Parks, Recreation & Youth Programs, in conjunction with Time Warner Cable and TVOne to refurbish and/or completely rebuild three sites in the Syracuse, New York area.

This program is designed to encourage and help kids in the disadvantaged socioeconomic areas of Syracuse, New York. Coach Boeheim, Carmelo Anthony, Time Warner Cable, and TVOne will organize a grand opening of these chosen sites with a tournament to promote drug free and healthy living.

Leavenworth Park

The latest Jim and Juli Boeheim Foundation Courts 4 Kids project kicked off two courts on October 9th at Leavenworth Park. This marked the fourth Courts 4 Kids project for the Foundation.

The Leavenworth courts are both halfcourt with the free throw lanes stenciled in white. "Jim Boeheim'' is on left side of the court "Carmelo Anthony Court'' is printed on the right side of the court. Both courts have a "GREEN" basketball playing surface that drains properly so no round off goes into the lake.

Our next Courts 4 Kids project will at the city's Lewis Park and will be completed in November.
